Retired Army Officer: DHS Must Surrender Their War Weapons to Dept.of Defense‏

On Saturday March 23, Terry M. Hestilow, a retired Army officer with nearly 30 years of service under his belt, posted this letter he sent to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) this week. Hestilow wants DHS to hand over their war weapons to the Department of Defense.

Hate to break it to y'all, but DHS couldn't care less what Capt. Hestilow thinks. If he retired as a Capt. (20 years minimum required) he was obviously passed over for promotion to start with, or was a mustang. Either way, nobody in political power pays any attention to junior ranks, and often not even the Joint Chiefs. Sorry, but that's the fact of the matter. Even retired One Stars are a dime a dozen.

Whether or not anyone listens, I still like his idea.
