I won this shotgun and would like to use it for match shooting. I already had a custom choke made for it at a very low cost and now I need a scope. It was suggested that I have the shotgun drilled and tapped for a scope rail but the gunsmith who made the choke said that he would not do that since it is such a fine gun. He suggested that I use a Remington 870 saddle mount; one set of holes would have to be machined to a slot since the pins are closer on a Weatherby than a Remington. Are there any other suggestions on how a scope could be mounted? Like I said, I won this shotgun so I am willing to spend a little money on it but not much.
