On stainless knives use a diamond hone. Couple of swipes and the edge is back. Use the knife 2,3 times they are dull. Won't hold edge.

Rooster, you got a nice collection there. You just need a case.

Rooster, when you look for a wife, don't go on beauty, she will beat you every time, look for loyalty. I lost my best one 4 years ago. I don't plan on a replacement, I'm going the rest of the way solo.

I got this knife in the early 70s in a trade. It is a Gerber Magnum Hunter.

Pardon the camera strap in the photo

I use it often and it still holds an edge well and the handle is made of a metal composite material that is easy to hold even when covered in crappie innards.

The bottm two kukri's in your photo look like they have the British military "Broad Arrow" ( aka Crowsfoot ) stamp on them.

I started "collecting" back in the late 1990s - knives, daggers, short swords, etc. All from various countries. Found them all at gun auctions, general auctions or at gun shows. Didn't realize how many I had and how beautiful some were, until I move a couple years back and got them all together for picture portraits. Here's a couple pics of the more spectacular items:
"Matched pair of Ceremonial Doummya style Jambiya from Northern Morocco, silver on wood with inlaid stones and colored glass
    IMG_3373_2.jpg
Possibly Malay? or Javanese - from handle - can't match with any reference with syckle blade - coral and brass inlay
    IMG_3390.jpg
North African Jambaya - camel bone grip, silver on wood, inlaid stones
    IMG_3407.jpg
Azeri Sword - a combination of Yatagan and Kama styles -Azerbaijan

If you're interested in seeing other interesting blades, let me know.
