Which brand of mags are viable? Pro Mag, Tapco, or the orignial steel AK mag... don't know what brand they are...just know they're metal.
The Tapco mags are polymer and seem ok? Opinions please....

The surplus steel mags have been reliable for me. Since they're right about the same price-wise, that's my choice.

Perhaps some of the polymer ones are OK, but I've never felt the need to try them.

I generally see the polymer mags going for less money than the milsurp steel mags, but for some reason I trust the milsurp steel mags more. The steel version has been in service with no problems for decades:D

I have 1 promag, and two of the bulgarian polymer mags. All have worked flawless for me
