    10 USC 246 - 254
    §246. Militia: composition and classes

    (a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

    (b) The classes of the militia are-
    (1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
    (2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

§251. Federal aid for State governments
Whenever there is an insurrection in any State against its government, the President may, upon the request of its legislature or of its governor if the legislature cannot be convened, call into Federal service such of the militia of the other States, in the number requested by that State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to suppress the insurrection.

§252. Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority
Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

§253. Interference with State and Federal law
The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it—

    (1) so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

    (2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.

In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

    §254. Proclamation to disperse
Whenever the President considers it necessary to use the militia or the armed forces under this chapter, he shall, by proclamation, immediately order the insurgents to disperse and retire peaceably to their abodes within a limited time.

I doubt that the protesters will every leave the big cities.
Take a good look at some reports on gun ownership and see what demographic area has the most guns.

YEP.. rural areas. Last I looked I think it was about 90%
.Least is in the cities then the suburbs.

As a after thought, IF the police are de-funded who will protect these morons?
    More like open season.

You would think so wouldn't you?
History though, would tend to indicate that far to often folks don't figure it out until it's too late.

The election is where the battle is to be fought at this time.

If Trump loses a second term, we lose.

I ponder the questions of the universe but not so much the recent events that are occurring now. Maybe because I have become numb and see this as something that keeps repeating itself. I remember the 50's, the 60's the 70's and so on and for me there always was some form of chaos and a group of people always opposing each other.

There are good and there are the bad. I am reminded of Atticus , from to Kill a Mockingbird where he states that all men are not created equal, because some are born more intelligent than others, others are born into a home where more opportunities are afforded to them than others and so forth. The only place that man are equal are in the courts but even now as we have seen it is still fraught with human faults but nonetheless the courts are a great leveler.

You alluded to Edmund Burke and I must agree that I am at fault for being an individualist, allowing evil to exist. I have grown weary of fighting and have been the lucky few that at times for short periods I don't feel guilty for being alive while my brothers gave their all. Now as long as my life is blissful I really do not care if our country is burning. In the beginning when I first joined the military it was not out of Patriotism but from necessity as I was not born equal, or was not born to a home that afforded me opportunities. My Patriotism came later, when I had served a few years active duty , by than the military gave me the necessities and opportunities I sought. Because of the military my blood is OD green

All over the world I see the chaos that people create. Saw it in Africa, Croatia, Afganitstan in the 80's, and South America. It is a bizarre dichotomy that people want to be free but want a leader to lead them. If everyone followed the Constitution to the letter and not try to amend it to feed their individual needs there would be no chaos. Which leads to the question that has been asked, is there order out of chaos?

This last week I was reminded of the words I have spoken many times over the last 20 years in public,
"And HE shall send friends to fight our battles for us, the battle Sir, is not to the strong alone, but to the vigilante the active the brave......
Gentlemen may cry peace peace, but there is no peace. The was has actually begin ..... Is life so dear or so peace so sweet to be purchased with chains and slavery? Forbid it ALMIGHTY GOD, Give me Liberty or give me death"
    Patrick Henry

    Gentlemen,
God who has fought our battles for us will continue to be with.
We must pray for our country and President Donald Trump.
And, why does the Socialist Party hate the American flag and the Confederate flag? Because the hate Patriots and Rebels....
If God be with us, who can be against us?

As far as the Militia groups here in Virginia, I am too old to be anything but part of the support group. I live in a rural area and have many like minded friends/patriots that will band together if the need arises. I do not think BLM/Antifa will be out this far in the country because they know that we are hunters/marksmen and well armed, but if they do come, they will quickly realize that there is no back up, no retreat here.

That is interesting that you state your patriotism came AFTER you joined the military. I joined the Army for a medical school scholarship and thought I would "endure" the time. In actuality, I greatly enjoyed my first 7 years in the Army. My last couple of years wasn't any fun due to a commander who didn't know the difference between right and wrong.

But seeing so many of my patients and what they had sacrificed for this nation left me with a sense of respect for people who had so willingly served and given to this nation. The "useful idiots" running around causing this chaos have no concept of serving this nation and why this nation has been different than many other nations.

I often hear TV commentators or on the radio call America the greatest nation that ever has been. I don't believe that is true. That honor is reserved for Israel where Jesus will soon rule from His Temple in Jerusalem. God has indeed blessed this nation greatly but His hand of protection and blessing is being lifted from all of the evil that resides in this land today.

That is where we will need to turn if God is going to preserved even for a short time to come.

The reason I stated that patriotism came after I joined the army is that many Americans fail to understand its meaning. It is not something you do in as much as what you feel for your country. The love, the pride and the willingness to die for your country. I see many Americans complain about their rights and what they are entitled too because it is their right, could care less that those rights were attained through someone else's sacrifice. For example all the damn millionaires that millions of Americans watch and support when they kneel for the National Anthem and won't kneel for GOD!

When I joined I was just 17 years old, a boy still wet behind the ears. I grew up in a small town where there wasn't even a burger joint . I was 15 when I had my first McDonalds burger and my first "cherry Icee". I was living in a harsh world that looked down on me because of my race, but most importantly I did not want to follow in my father's footstep, though he was my hero. I wanted to see the world, explore it, and have an adventure. I joined the army for that reason. I knew I did not have the money to go to school or the desire, or to travel. The only job that I knew would pay me to learn a skill, feed me , clothe me, and provide medical was the military. So the army was a way to reach my goals. But my feelings changed and I felt proud of being a soldier. I felt pride that I was an American that my country is the land of opportunity. I remembered John Fitzgerald Kennedy's words. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". So in time the Army was not a job, it became my life, my home, my family.

That's true in a lot of places, anti-gun states and cities mostly. Missouri has "castle doctrine", open carry and "stand your ground". Down here in the sticks where the hooty owls breed the chickens that's taken seriously, exactly what it means. I don't believe any resistance would be met out here.

Well..... The second amendment mentions this, something about a well regulated militia. That's the part everybody overlooks and acts like its only about personal ownership.
