    Mark, just going by the difference in the condition of the finish between the barrel and the rest of the gun, the barrel probably isn't original to it, but you quite likely knew that. :)

    Mark, gun was made about July of 1922. The Trench barrel is a Winchester made barrel, but the Oval P proof means it was sold to be installed by an outside vendor, short version, Winchester didn't install it.
