Sometime ago you were looking for a Mannlicher style stock for your 6.5 X 55 Swedish Mauser. Did you ever find one? Are you pleased with it? Can we see some pics?

    Thanks bunches
    Long live the Swedish Mauser!!

Yes I found a couple sources, as follows

Royal arms gunstocks Great Falls MT
royalarms@imt.net great price- starts at $90

Graet American Gunstock Co Yuba City CA
    gunstox@oro.net start around $100

Richards Microfit gunstocks Sun Valley CA
    sales@rifle-stocks.com Start around $109
    (these are Laminates)

I ended up picking up a chinese mauser in 30-06 with a mannlicher stock. I go pick it up tomorrow. Will post picks later this week.
Still haven't found anyone that can do a mannlicher forearm for my 99 savage...but I am still looking.

Thats where I am at. swede

Thanks. Please keep us informed. Would like to see pics on the Chinese Mauser if possible. I was under the understanding the metal on those was not strong enough for stuff like the .06.........was I misled?

I got the pics...they are at work...will try to post tomorrow.
This is a regular mauser action made in Germany for export. It is a real 98, not some hand filed, cast wannabe. I am kind of proud of it. Bore is really nice, barrel was replaced back in the 50's I have been told. My gunsmith checked it out...headspace OK..told me should be good to shoot anything I want through it.
Funny thing about the stock. It is a military stock reworked into a mannlicher. But it is a beautiful job. I will try to post the pics tomorrow.
