My bosses daughter had a flight with her two daughters, one of them was acting up, well dad swated her on the butt, in about three more minutes security escorted them to a little room and informed them the airlines would not tolerate child abuse.
That's what's wrong with kids today.
My Daddy had a piece of a leather drive belt from an old wood working shop, it was about 5 in wide, about 3/4 in thick and About 3 ft long.
It had a handle carved into one end.
When it went across your butt it lifted you right off the floor.

That's right. Kids today never learn right from wrong. We learned if something was wrong in de-tail. Dad used his belt. Some principals had wooden paddles, with holes that would make it whistle as it swung through the air on its way to the designated target.

It's everywhere now. A child in London, Ontario, drew a picture of her father holding a gun. She told the teacher that it was so he could protect them from the "bad men". Teacher called the cops and child protectives services. Dad came home from work to find a swat team in his driveway. Pulled from his vehicle on the driveway, cuffed, and tossed into a cruiser. Turns out, the drawing originated in the child's imagination. Dad didn't even own a firearm. The teacher should have been slapped into the middle of next week!

Something like that happened to me in high school--decades ago. I had an "Nixon" sticker on my notebook. The teacher took it and held it upside down so it said "Noxin" and thought that was hilarious.

Heck at my high school you might not make it to the principal’s office. If the football coach gym teacher got wind of any shenanigans you would get a “Martha” or two. Martha was a huge tennis shoe that would leave a mark. Many met Martha once, there was never anything said. We listened when he said “a word to the wise is sufficient” Martha was close:eek:
Now a teacher can introduce young minds to all kinds of foul ideas....but try to instill a little discipline or respect they likely will be looking for another occupation.

A Sept. 22 school board meeting found Ka'Mauri "guilty of displaying a facsimile weapon while receiving virtual instruction."
Facsimile...virtual. Two words that make it a fake accusation.

The last two paragraphs indicate the state AG is going to bat for them. That should leave the school district without a leg to stand on. Hopefully it will send a strong message to the rest of the school districts and maybe other states that this kind of thing is just not on. Schools cannot be allowed to impose their restrictions on private homes.

There are many old high schools here in Toronto that had .22 ranges in the basement, both for shooting clubs and Cadet corps. My father was a Manitoba farm boy who grew up shooting for food on the table. I was exposed to country boys and shooting from 15 yrs. old and now, at 70, still love to shoot. I've watched the demonization of "gun culture" and narrative of "toxic masculinity" being pushed and flying in the teeth of fact and logic. Now, for personal in-home safety, I have a S&W DA in .44 Russian and .32 rf. Mod.1-1/2 for my wife. That's all I can have ready to hand without facing potential criminal charges. Under Canadian law, any restricted firearm (pistols, and some long guns) must be kept under lock and key unless under direct care and control. Antiques are not considered firearms in most instances so they are exempt from the laws of "safe & secure storage". A pic of mine and my wife's.
