Big boy. He looks so cuddly

 

Step out for a afternoon drive and saw this bear. He drove home to get his rifle and it was gone. Really warm here to be shooting a bear. It would have to be skinned fast and bags of ice stuffed in it's cavity.

Is it bear season in VT now?

 

OK just checked and yes it is open. Started 1 Sept.

 

That's a pretty good size bear. I've had bear meat....it's best when made into sausage.

 

A BIG bear has small ears due to a big head. He usually has a sagging belly just like me. Tried bear meet twice, first and last, the more I chewed, the bigger it got.
My son and his wife will gobble one up. All in the prep and cooking method.

 

I'll guess 200 pounds. Really good eatin'.

Talked to him today. Him, his gf and 2 dogs were scouting. He came up to a small crest in a hill look down and there the bear was 100 yards. Bear never smelled them and the dogs never saw the bear. He ran back to his truck to get his rifle but by the time he got back the bear was gone.
