I wasn't looking for one but at the very affordable price i seen i couldn't pass it up. I did some safe cleaning and horse trading and it cost me under $400 OTD. The trade in's cost me nothing too so i'm way ahead now. I always wanted one of the chinese m14's because of there forged steel receivers they make one of the best platforms for doing a M14 upgrade and builds too. But some of the orginal owners say they never had a problem with there's yet since they were brand new. I have the 7,62 nato headspace gauge here and i checked the headspace right away and the chamber is good and safe to shoot. The bore is also chrome lined from norinco too. Now i need to fire her up and put some heat in the barrel to see how good she shoots. I didn't want to drop the big dollars on a brand new M1a or M14 notjust yet. But i have been interested in a new fulton armory m14 for a few years now. If i like the norc m14 i may want to get one more. But at the low cost if i don't shoot it much its no loss and not a big investment. I know that one hot ticket to do with these is to send them to the fulton armory and they reharden the forged receiver up to 52-54 rockwell and fit all the orginal G.I. M14 inners/match barrel. Then we have the ultimate m14 to play with so they say. Thats another option is to upgrade it. That could be my holy grail of guns.
Does anyone have one of these norc's? Bill
