Help with remington 710 bolt

I took the firing pin out of the bolt assembly on my 710 to clean, I went to put it back together and was unable to get the firing pin unit back into the bolt. Any ideas on how to get it back in, I have the manual so I am following the step-by-step directions. Does anyone own or has worked on one of these and have a secret tip on how to get this back together. Thanks

are you sure you didnt turn the bolt head 180, the bolt also has to be in the gun to fully install. remington has complete instructions on site i believe

I was able to remedy the problem, something about it being cocked or uncocked, switched it over an wa-la! went back in! Thanks for the help.
