Nipple size needed for my 1858 Remington Army

Either that or Navy arms specified that size on guns made for them, they used several manufacturers over the years. Perhaps they wanted all Navy Arms revolvers to have a common nipple size?
I suppose it's possible. Now I'm going to have to go to some more populated bp forums and find guys with guns sold by navy then and now and see what size nips they used.
 
OK I heard from somebody that knows a lot about repro revolvers and he said "Uberti changed nipple size around 1980 (??) from the short Pietta (M6 x .75 x .500 Long) to the current Uberti M5.5 x .9 Th. x .501 Long. Current Pietta nipples are 6x.75mm Th x .520 Long".
