Does anyone have any input in regard to the Tikka M77K.
This is a combo gun with a 12 gage and a 22HP (12gX22HP-Savage)
I am thinking of buying one and the price is right. It is gently used with 99% bluing and some VERY minor staining/pitting in the shotgun barrel. The rifle barrel is excellent.

Any and all comments welcome.

Plain old 30-30 or 25-35 brass will do. It's a .228 bore, but the heavy .224 60gr-70gr will work just fine for hunting ammo. The lighter stuff, not very well. Up here, there is still a good supply of factory ammo. But I am cheap and I don't want to spend $40 on a box of ammo.

How can a bullet .004" smaller than a bore diameter would even have a chance of any significant accuracy as the bullet would only be partially engaged in rifling. Also a incomplete combustion of the gunpowder because the bullet isn't sealing the hot expanding gas which will leak past the bullet as a transit the barrel bore. I could see if you used a soft lead bullet that could easily upset and seal the bore.

Gary, all I know about Tikka is by reputation and, I've never heard a bad thing.

I looked up the Mod. 77K. I don't care for the air gap between the barrels but, truth be told, I suspect it makes for a more accurate rifle, it not being effected nearly to the extent a rifle barrel joined to the shotgun by a soldered rib. I doubt it will walk as the barrel heats up, like my drillings and combinations do.
