RW yep that is so annoying. The guy has a revolver and has fired 5 of 6 already and leaves a loader AR15 or a P226 with 3 mags lying there.
You and I would at least disable the gun left if we did not pick it up but alas the script says only intelligent people will notice stupidity and they are not going to watch this D rated piece of Scheise any way (it does seem like that is the thinking)

Oh, I know. I'm always yelling something like "take the dang Kalashnikov with you". You see it a lot. I'd be stuffing leftover guns in all my pockets.
Or at least taking the mags if they fit my gun. Oh, wait, Hollywierd guns never run out of ammo, or at least the heroes gun doesn't.

I was watching John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 (1976). Certainly a fun movie but realism was a 'bit' lacking.

Lots of revolvers with "Silencers", their words. In fact, every attacking gang member was sporting a suppressor of some kind or another, this made for a very quite first attack... The cops fired back and they made plenty of noise.

Later...

On duty police assigned to the area can't locate the gunfire after searching 'everywhere'. When the junior officer asks his veteran partner, "What's down that street?" the veteran officer replies, "Nothing, just the old station. It's no longer used." The junior officer says, "Maybe we should have a look." The veteran officer replies, "It's a waste of time." He then contacts dispatch and tells them they can't find the source of the gunfire.

The entire movie has plot holes like this but it's still entertaining because they have decent actors... Just don't look to it for realism.

The part I liked about that movie was the non-cop who was helping fight off the bikers. And he had one of the bikers' silenced revolvers. When that particular little sortie was over he commented in surprise that his gun was empty. And he had not been aware when he emptied it since it did not make any noise so he didn't know it was no longer firing.

Obviously totally immune to recoil.

Always liked Kim Richards. So did not like when one of the gang members popped her at the ice cream truck. I don't think you could silence a 7.62x25 Mauser.

The movie had a lot of flaws in it but I still found it entertaining. The bad guys were both fearless and brainless when they actually assaulted the precinct. At one point, I thought I was watching a zombie flick. šŸ§Ÿā€ā™‚ļø The way they were coming through the windows.
